Woodcutter Helmet System is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good senses. I wish I'd have purchased a unit like this thirty years ago. It was assembled easily with just a few snaps. This helmet protects ones head from debris falling from above, eyes and hearing. The full face mesh keeps wood chips, not just out of your eyes but from hitting any part of the face. The mesh doesn't obstruct vision. One fault is access to be able to wipe sweat or nose without flipping it up. The hearing protection has many different positions for comfortable protection. Once adjusted I had no issues with the helmet retaining band, the lid stayed put while bending, cutting, splitting(w/maul), and loading wood.My experience is limited to winter temperatures ranging from the teens up into the low forties. Before purchasing I inquired about the availability of replacement components. The dealer told me that all components should be available for several years into the future. He also explained the recommended life of these helmets is that of five years due to UV deterioration of the material.I will be sporting this unit anytime that I am cutting under the canopy.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Plastic in hat suspension system broke. Plastic in Helmut suspension system broke without much use. Replacement part not compatible with five year old Stihl Helmut: seems wasteful to replace entire Helmut/face shield/ear protection system due to poorly designed suspension plastic

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for home users I got this in a package deal with chaps and safety glasses making it even a better value. It is great to have one piece of safety equipment to cover your head, eyes, and ears. You wont even notice the screen in the face shield, it is fine enough that you see clearly right through it. The ear muffs have almost infinite adjustability and swing back out of the way when you don't need them. The only thing it does not have it a ratchet adjustment system but that is why it is so affordable. After using this one time, you will never want to be out in the woods with your saw without it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product is a great value for the money I bought this unit to keep small rocks from hitting my face as I was using my weed eater. It is great at doing that along with chips from my chain saw. I was a little concerned that the shield would obscure my vision but you almost don't know it is there after a little while. A great product to protect your head, hearing and face.
